Lake Memberships go on sale from April 15th to May 31st, 2024, for the sale price of $99 plus gst. Regular prices apply after May 31st.
You can purchase your pass on-line at https://app.univerusrec.com/stonewallpub/courses/index.asp. You will be contacted by email when your pass is ready for pick-up, or you can pick it up on your first trip to the beach at the lake gate.
You may also purchase your pass at the Heritage Arts Centre, 166 Main St. 7 days a week, or at the Town of Stonewall Office, 293 Main St. during regular office hours.
Kinsmen Lake opens for the 2024 Season on Friday, June 28th.
Hours are from 11 am - 7 pm.
We are open 7 days a week, weather permitting.
Please note: The lake is open for scheduled school groups only from June 24th - June 27th.
"Limestone Luke's" food concession is available on site. You can pay for your food with your debit card or cash.
The beach is patrolled by fully qualified lifeguards. Children must be a minimum of 12 years old to attend without an adult 18 and over. All youth 14 and under MUST pass a swim test administered by the Lifeguards to swim in the open part of the lake.
Splash Pad Update: The Kinsmen Splash Pad will open for the season when the weather permits. Operating hours are daily from 10 am - 8 pm.
About Kinsmen Lake
It will be open 11 am - 7 pm daily, dependent on weather and patron count. The lake will be closed if the temperature is lower than 19 degrees C or if there are fewer than 10 people in attendance. We are happy to report that for 2024, we have once again been successful in hiring a great number of lifeguards and swim instructors. Swimming lessons WILL be happening for the 2024 season. Registration will open to residents of Stonewall and surrounding communities and will open to the general public in mid-May. Reminder: BBQ's or cooking equipment of any kind will no longer be permitted within the Kinsmen Lake grounds. You are still welcome to bring your own cooler for food and drinks.
Drinking and Drugs are not permitted.
Dogs (except service dogs for disabilities) are not permitted within the Kinsmen Lake Grounds regardless of their size. Service dogs must be on leash and under control at all times.
No large floaties are permitted at the Lake (pool noodles are ok). Lifejackets and water wings are allowed.
Lifejackets are available on loan for those who wish to use them. Ask for them at the Lifeguard Shack.
Family Lake Passes
Lake passes will go on sale at the discounted rate of $99 plus gst from April 18th until May 31st. A fee of 2.8% will be added if paying by credit card in person. A service charge of $2.75 will apply if booking on-line. Lake passes can be purchased on-line at the following link Town of Stonewall - Public Access (univerusrec.com). They can also be purchased at the Heritage Art Centre and at the Town Of Stonewall Office during normal working hours. A family membership includes a maximum of 5 membership cards.
We close for the season on Labour Day.
Kinsmen Lake was developed by the local Kinsmen Club and officially opened on August 10, 1956.
